Islamorada Inshore Fishing

Head deep into the Backcountry of Everglades National Park targeting some of Florida's most iconic inshore species. We run these trips year round with a seasonal focus on select species when the fishing is best.

Islamorada Lobster Fishing

Spend an evening on the shallow flats around Islamorada shining high-powered lights for lobster on our bullynetting trips. These are fun for all experience levels and a great way to put some bugs in the cooler without getting wet.

Islamorada Tarpon Fishing

Come fish with us for the impressive silver king as they migrate through the Islamorada area. We run daytime and nighttime trips for these hard-fighting fish using a variety of live bait and artificial tactics.

About Us

Meet Your Captains

Capt. Mike Walter and Capt. Trevor Newman are die-hard anglers who love nothing more than fishing. When we're not fishing, we're fishing, and when we're not doing that, we're still fishing. We pride ourselves on curating the most personalized fishing experiences for our clients paired with the highest-quality boats and tackle.

About Us

Our Boats

When it comes to fishing in the Keys, boats are a pretty important part of the fishing/success equation. Whether we're fishing in the Gulf, the Everglades Backcountry, or offshore in the Atlantic, our boats will get you there fast, comfortably, and safely. From the time you contact us until the time we bid farewell, everything is taken care of. We're doing the most aggressive, productive fishing the conditions allow us to do.

Target Species

We target a mix of iconic species inshore, nearshore, and offshore.

Sailfish

During the summer, sailfish tend to roam the open ocean, often found in deeper waters near offshore structures. In the winter, sailfish migrate closer to shore, often congregating around the reefs—making for some epic sight fishing.

Tuna

During the summer months, they congregate around the offshore humps, where they feed on baitfish pushed up by strong currents. In the winter, blackfin tuna tend to move closer to shore and can be found around the reefs.

Grouper

Grouper are ambush predators that often hide near structure on the reef. We target them with live bait like pinfish, pilchards, or squid, near the bottom. We have several different species of grouper in the area and they are a great catch on the Eastern reefs.

Barracuda

Barracuda are opportunistic feeders, often lurking in ambush near structure or in deeper waters. In the backcountry, live bait like pilchards or mullet can be effective when presented near drop-offs or mangrove lines. On the reefs, larger baits like live ballyhoo or blue runners can entice bigger fish.

Snook

Snook are ambush predators that thrive in the diverse habitats of the Everglades backcountry. They often lurk in the shadows of mangrove roots, under docks, or near oyster bars. Targeting areas with strong current flows give us a good chance of hooking into these iconic fish.

Trout

Trout thrive in shallow, grassy flats and around mangrove shorelines in the Keys. We target them in areas with deeper water channels or drop-offs. They're great-eating fish and one of the few we harvest on our inshore trips.

Redfish

Redfish are often found cruising the shallow flats, foraging for crabs, shrimp, and small fish during the winter months in the Keys. We're typically sight-fishing with live bait or artificial lures, or working the edges of deeper channels with jigs or soft plastics.

Tarpon

Tarpon are highly migratory fish that can be found in the waters around Islamorada throughout the year, but the prime times are from April through June. We target them from the Everglades Backcountry to the bridges around Islamorada using live bait and artificials.

Mahi Mahi

During the summer, Mahi tend to congregate around offshore weed lines, where they feed on baitfish and squid. In the winter, mahi-mahi migrate closer to shore, often found around the reefs. We're always on the lookout for them schooling and hitting bait schools hard.
