Seasonal Evening Fishing Battles With The Silver King
The tarpon migration is one of the most coveted fishing experiences we share with our clients in Islamorada. We target tarpon year round and offer both daytime and nighttime trips depending on the timing of the season. The primary migration is from April-June, but we are able to fish for tarpon 365 days of the year.
Sunset/nighttime tarpon fishing is the true highlight experience of the season. The weather cools off, you’re not sweating in the sun, and it’s an absolutely beautiful atmosphere on the water. There’s nothing better than enjoying a sunset with a silver king flying through the air. We typically run these trips from 4-8pm.
Target Species
On our tarpon trips, we’re running and gunning for tarpon and tarpon only. There is of course a chance of hooking into a big jack crevalle or a shark on these trips but our focus is always on the silver king. We have a limited window during the migration so we’re actively hunting for schools and following them as they make their way through the keys. This is one of the most exciting trips we offer. We use a mix of live bait and artificial tactics to target tarpon as they migrate through the area.
Where We Fish
We’re following the tarpon migration from the time they make their way through the Everglades National Park to the deep water channels and bridges around Islamorada. Once they make their way into the area we’re 100% focused on doing everything we can to get you in front of a school, casting for a shot at a fish you’ll never forget.
